Colours is an online art show brought to you by Leaf Modern Gallery, a gallery designed by both Mona and I to showcase exclusively my contemporary art works on paper. So, to say thank you to all of our followers and supporters, we are offering our original paintings at wholesale value. Why you may ask, well seeing as we have just begun our venture with this we want to keep building it towards more fun and exciting ideas. All the money generated from these sales will go back into building up our own inventory and new ideas for new creations.
The show will only last three weeks, just as any art show would in a regular gallery, only here you get to enjoy it from your computers at home or on the fly and from anywhere in the world. After three weeks we’ll honor the true retail value of the paintings and they’ll go up to their regular value. After that we’ll begin the sales of limited edition prints - a reflection of the originals, however, originals have gold leafing. More details to come.
Please explore both our sites, see all the great new ideas and follow my contemporary works into the next chapter of my life. I have put 20 solid years into my work now as a professional artist and I am very excited to be pushing myself exploring new styles and techniques.
So as I said, just for you, just for this short time each original will be at wholesale market value.
Thank you all again very much!! I couldn’t do this without all of you and your support
~ Rande Cook (Kwakwaka’wakw)
We are so thrilled to announce and celebrate our Special Feature of the show! Meet Maya, the original colourful abstract portrait painting by Rande Cook. We can call her the ’mother' of the series because she influenced this direction. Painted on 5ft x 4ft canvas, beaming with playful colours and abstract designs in true Rande Cook fashion. While Rande was bringing her to life, it was only natural for him to flow into this approach. So, it was inevitable that more had to come. HOWEVER, she is truly one of a kind and will not be replicated as she will always hold the title of being the great influencer of Rande Cook’s modern traditional style.
Maya in Kwak'wala means "Respect".
Meet the beautiful Amoy. Her name is an extension of the phrase beautiful goddess. Her gold leafing shimmers and her colours dance as she spell bounds the audience with thoughts of whom she may be. While her playfulness has presence, she stands radiant exuding a sense of mysterious elegance.
Meet Drago, embraced by the dragon spirit. Not to be feared but to be recognized as a messenger of balance and magic. They say if a dragon has arrived in your life, it asks that you tap into your psychic nature and allow yourself to view the world through the eyes of wonder and mystery. Explore his beautiful gold leafing details.
Meet the spirit of colours, Aurora. She's poetic in her aura and she dances in the dawn. Natural beauty with a mix of feminine and bold colours is simple to enjoy. Aurora is number 2 of the 8 series as she was followed after Tao and the first female abstract portrait to lead the way for the other female portrait styles that followed.

With the belief of Yin and Yang as the harmony, he posses the characteristic of being present and enjoying life itself. Lola may give the appearance of African culture but its up to the audience in how you see her beauty. The eagle element in her eye to the gold leaf on her earring, she’s a gift to the eyes.
Meet Enzo, full of life and spunk. With his wealth of abstract and bold colours, he has a thirst for life and what it beholds. His charismatic presence allows the audience to explore his nature.
